Romans 15:6 (ESV)
Minister
Authorised Person for Marriages
Rev Canon Dave started church life early - as a choirboy at Pershore Abbey. But his life turned to the world in his teens as he travelled the globe, spending 25 years in the music industry.
He came to faith as an adult, was awarded a Master‘s Degree in Applied Theology from the University of Chester in 2012 and ordained shortly thereafter. Amongst his varied ministry activities in the Kingdom he has produced two worship albums, and served on missions to Kenya and Rwanda.
He is the Director of Care for local health and wellbeing services, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, a psychotherapist and care leader; attending parliament in 2019 as best practice representative for the Parliamentary review. He is a pastor, teacher, theologian, worship leader and song writer - with a heart to see people saved, and grow in their purpose in Christ.
Minister
Rev Canon Pete was saved as an adult, over 20 years’ ago, and with his wife, Wendy, spent several years living and working in Kenya - establishing a school and food programme for local children. They still return annually to support the ministries they established and partnered with during their many years of mission.
In returning to the UK, they established and led, for many years, a successful family church plant, which continues to thrive in the region, before joining the team at the Church of St Leonard in 2023.
In the secular world, Canon Pete is a teacher - and in church life he is a pastor, preacher and song writer. Canon Pete also serves as a trustee for the Order of St Leonard (of which the Church is a member) and leads the Order’s international mission board.
Bishop
Bishop David recently celebrated 50 years in Christian ministry. He was awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 2016, for services to the community of Solihull.
Throughout his ministry, Bishop David has been known for his prayers for the sick, his powerful preaching of the gospel, and his continuing vision for unity. He trains, and also serves, as an NHS chaplain, and continues to connect with people through his work, preaching and teaching.
He has authored many books on challenging Christian subjects and his latest book ‘The Fading Doctrines of Jesus Christ‘ is the focus of recent bible study groups.
Widely considered a father of the faith, he supports other churches and ministries in their development and has vowed to never retire in his service to the Lord and His people.
