MARRIAGE CEREMONY FEES

The marriage ceremony fee is currently £600 (2023 rate) for all marriages taking place in 2023. Marriages taking place in 2024 are charged at £650. 

This rate includes:

Receipt and secure storage of your marriage schedule from the registrar.

Meeting with the minister to discuss your marriage ceremony vows and ceremony.

Minister’s liaison with the Registry Office, as needed.

Meeting with the minister prior to the ceremony (usually held within the 2 days prior to the ceremony) to check marriage schedule accuracy and to discuss details.

Attendance of the minister and minister’s assistant on the day of the ceremony to conduct the ceremony (the minister is normally in attendance at least one hour prior to the ceremony.)

Transfer of the completed marriage schedule to the Warwick register office, following the ceremony.

(Please note, under new legislation, the couple are no longer handed a marriage certificate on the day of the ceremony. The couple must apply directly to the registrar, following the marriage,  if a marriage certificate is required. A separate fee is payable to the registrar for this service.)

The fee does not include the use of the facilities (building, heating, parking, conveniences etc) as the church is sited on a private estate. A fee is charged by the Wroxall Abbey Hotel. This is by separate negotiation with the hotel wedding co-ordination and is not arranged by the minister.

A Verger (to support your guests as they arrive at the church) is optionally available at additional cost of £100. 

Musicians - We also have a variety of musicians that work regularly with the church. We can discuss options and any fees for musicians are charged at standard musician union rates, and paid to/arranged directly with the musicians concerned. Soloists, a gospel choir, pianist (keyboards). The church organ is not operable, however the keyboard player can create the sound of an organ via our sound system. If you are utilising one of our approved musicians or ensembles or choirs, they are able to use our own quality sound system at no additional cost.  

if you have your own playlist (digital music) this can be used via Bluetooth to our system at no additional cost. The Verger (If arranged) will be happy to control your music cues.

Licence fees are payable for music copyright - depending on usage and recording. Any fees are the responsibility of the couple, and are normally available online at a reasonable fee.
